About Maureen...
Maureen Keane is a best selling
author, nutritionist, and whole foods expert.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Maureen
received her bachelor's degree in biology from Wayne
State University in Detroit. She worked as an industrial
microbiologist in Detroit and as a research assistant
at Wayne State University Medical School, also in
Detroit. Maureen received her masters degree in
nutrition from Bastyr University in Seattle. After
graduation, Maureen taught Maternal and Infant nutrition
for four years in the Midwifery program at Bastyr
University.
Maureen now lives with her husband
of 26 years in Mukilteo, a suburb of Seattle, Washington,
where she is currently working on her next book.

Maureen's first
book, co-authored with Cheri Calbon, has to
date sold over 1.3 million copies and still sells
50-60,000 copies in the United States each year.
It is also currently published in nine countries
around the world. According to Publishers Weekly,
Juicing for Life was one of 1992's ten best-selling
trade paperbacks.
Maureen and Danielle Chace have also
authored a series of whole-food
cookbooks with Prima Publishing.
The 6-book What to Eat series, published
by Contemporary Books, is in the process of being
updated for a new printing. Both authors are often
found giving radio interviews and are much sought
after for speaking engagements.
